Updates Returning
Updates to this site will resume their monday-friday schedule as of 12/3/2007 … ie: this coming monday. Sorry for the delay! I’ve barely been at my PC all week, as I’ve been on-site doing contract work.

Hey all — I sacrificed today’s update in the name of making sure I got to the New York City Halloween parade and took a ton of pics. So there’ll be a big huge update tomorrow featuring multiple pics from dul, multiple pics from yours truly, and even a pic from someone new!

Faces of the City is now out of “beta” and into “we’re a real site” mode … we have a design, we have content, and we have a structure. In case people are wondering about that structure, we’re going to feature pictures under three categories:

There are some big things afoot for Dart Publishing - the company that runs Faces of the City - which are causing some delays here. A quick note on categories.
Starting today I’ve decided to break up pictures into two groups: snapshots and portraits. Snapshots are off-the-cuff shots taken on the same day they’re posted. Portraits are more composed (even if they are in fact candid) and may or may not be taken on the same day that they’re published.

The words “The City” in “Faces of the City” were chosen because they are generic. The City in reference is not New York exclusively, but any urban area. We’re looking for pictures from people in cities all over the world. Check out the Contribute link above to find out how to get them to us!
