Coming and Going
This look of bewilderment was all over the place last week, as a torrential storm in the early morning flooded a huge chunk of the subway system. There weren’t enough cabs and buses to go around, and so many a New Yorker, myself included, had to call in late to work. I ended up walking 47 blocks (2.4 miles) to work on one of the hottest, stickiest mornings this summer. And there were tons of other people walking even more distance than that! Today’s snapshot, and tomorrow’s, are from that morning.
